Register and legitimise

The personal data you entered previously will be verified by flexgold in the first part of the identity check via the Autoident app. Please have a valid ID document ready for this. Note: optimal results are achieved with passports. In the second part, you have to answer questions about the Anti-Money Laundering Act via a chatbot.

Create a Vault

To be able to trade in physical precious metals via the flexgold app, you need to create a digital vault. You can also create several vaults, e.g. for deposits in different currencies.

Deposit into currency account

A currency account set up specifically for this purpose is available for trading precious metals. Here you can deposit the four currencies CHF, EUR, GBP or USD. A separate IBAN is available for each currency.

Purchase precious metals

You are ready to buy precious metals. You can choose between an immediate purchase, a planned purchase and a savings plan.

Who's behind flexgold?

How long can money remain in my flexgold currency account?

As flexgold is regulated as a financial intermediary by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and monitored by PolyReg, but does not have a banking licence, the maximum retention period for a user’s money in the currency account is 60 days. In order to guarantee compliance with this period, a time buffer is applied so that the money is transferred back after just 42 days.

What precious metals are available?

flexgold offers four precious metals for market entry: Gold, silver, platinum and palladium.

In which currencies is it possible to buy precious metals?

With flexgold from Solit, precious metals can be purchased in CHF (Swiss francs), EUR (euros), GBP (pounds sterling) and USD (US dollars).

Where is my data backed up at flexgold by Solit and how is it stored?

In general, login procedures are protected by the use of two-factor authentication (2FA) as a form of multi-factor authentication (MFA). In addition, all transactions carried out by you are confirmed by the aforementioned procedure. The transmission of all data is encrypted. We take great care to comply with both the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation and the Swiss Data Protection Act. Personal data and backups are stored exclusively on servers in Switzerland.

How does verification work at flexgold?

Once you have successfully registered with flexgold, you can start the verification process. You will be redirected to the IDnow website for this purpose. Identification takes place either via the IDnow AutoIdent app or via the browser.

Which documents do I need for verification?

A valid identification document is required for successful verification. This can be either a photo ID or a passport that clearly identifies you.

What is a vault?

At flexgold, the English word “vault” refers to the digital space in which investors can manage their physical precious metals. In addition, possible linguistic differences, such as spelling, are taken into account and the correct German variant is used. The vault symbolises the highly secure vault facility in Switzerland where the precious metals are stored safely.

What kinds of vaults are there?

There are three types of vaults at flexgold by Solit:

The Personal Vault allows you to manage your own precious metal investments.
The joint vault allows you to invest in precious metals together with another person (e.g. your partner).
The company vault allows you to diversify your company’s assets by investing in precious metals.

How do you create a Vault?

Can I grant another person access to my Vault?

You cannot grant another person access to your vault if you have a personal vault. You must set up a shared vault if you want to give another person access. However, there are exceptions, such as in the case of death or the appointment of a guardian, where appropriate regulations are provided for by law.

How do I create a community vault?

To create a community vault, click on the “Profile” button and then on “Master data”. Then select “Create new master data” and you can create a new community vault under “Community master data”.

How can I deposit money in my flexgold vault?

You can pay into your flexgold Vault by bank transfer from your bank account. It is necessary that the holder of the bank account is the same as the Vault holder. The deposit can be made in Swiss francs, euros, British pounds or US dollars.

How can I make a payment from a vault?

You can have the balance on your currency account paid out manually to your reference bank account at any time. If no payout amounts are available, you must click on the “Sell” button in the desired vault. You must then select the precious metal holdings to be sold and the order type. After a successful sale, you can have your currency balance paid out to the reference bank account on file.

How long does it take for my deposit to be credited to my Vault?

The crediting depends on the respective bank. As soon as the money is credited to our bank account, we will post your deposit to your Vault on the same day.

Where is the bank account for deposits on my Vault?

The bank account into which customers can deposit money is held at Credit Suisse AG in Switzerland, which is a subsidiary of UBS Group AG.

What happens to my investment amount if the bank with which I have deposited it on a short-term basis becomes insolvent?

Bank deposits of up to CHF 100,000 are covered by the statutory deposit protection scheme.

What happens to my Vault in the event of insolvency?

The precious metal holdings in your vault are considered special assets and are therefore excluded from the insolvency estate in the event of a service provider’s insolvency.
